We had a really good sermon a little while ago with a guest preacher from one of our sister churches, the theme was The grass is greener where you weed it. The message was basically about people who moved from one church to another because they’re not happy with something where they are and in moving don’t get consistent teaching.I would suggest reading 2 Samuel before and whilst reading this blog which will continues over 3 or 4 days and from part two the theology gets pretty hard core.

People walk away from churches for many but in my experience it quite often boils down to the person walking away reacting rather than responding to a situation, whether that is being hurt, offended or just not understanding where the church is going. This reminded me of the struggle David had in 2 Samuel, we can see in the passage how David the giant killer, the one who survived the pit of lions got stuck and angry but not just angry but angry at God 2 Sam 6:9 Read the rest of this entry »
